The Bravado Health Privacy Policy was updated on June 19, 2018.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using Bravado Health software and services and contact us if you have any questions.


Bravado Health understands the importance of “Personal Information” and “Non-Personal Information” of you and your patients. This Privacy Policy is intended to give you an overview of how we use and protect your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information (collectively, “Your Information”) including:

  • What information we collect about you;
  • What choices you have about our use of your Personal Information / Non-Personal Information;
  • How we use Your Information;
  • How and with whom we may share Your Information;
  • How we protect Your Information; and
  • How to contact us with questions or concerns.

This Privacy Policy pertains to your use of the Bravado Health website and the Bravado Health software and services (collectively, the “Bravado Offerings”). It does not pertain to the “Protected Health Information” or “PHI” of your patients (i.e., whose information you may use within the Bravado Offerings”). For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms Protected Health Information and PHI shall have the meanings defined in the Health Information Portability and Protection Act of 1996 and implementing regulations (“HIPAA”). Our policies on HIPAA are contained in our Terms of Use, a separate policy that may be accessed through the Bravado Health website.

Information Collected About You

We may collect “Personal Information” about you including, without limitation, your name, address, telephone number, medical practice, medications prescribed and/or taken, quantity prescribed, manufacturers prescribed, prescription refills and other information in the following ways:

  • When you send prescriptions to a pharmacy;
  • The quantity and types of prescriptions that you write/take; 
  • Demographics about your practice and patients (i.e., if a provider);
  • When you use certain of our interactive tools and services; and/or
  • Your use of the Bravado Health platform.

We may also collect “Non-Personal Information” about your use of the Bravado Offerings such as, for example, user metrics, user preferences, user navigation and other things. We collect Non-Personal Information from your use of the Bravado Offerings through Cookies, Web Beacons and external sources, even if you have not registered on the Bravado Health website or provided us with your Personal Information.

What Choices Do You Have?

If you do not want Your Information used by Bravado Health (i.e., as provided in this Privacy Policy), you should not register to become a user of the Bravado Offerings. Or, if you chose to register, you may change your desires in the settings tab of the Bravado Health website which will tell us not to use Your Information, except for the transmission of prescriptions. You may correct, update or review Personal Information that you have submitted through the Bravado Offerings by signing in and updating it. If you have registered and no longer want Bravado Health to use Your Information, you should de-register or delete your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

How Information Collected Is Used

Bravado Health may use Your Information to:

  • Administer your account(s);
  • Provide you with access to tools and services;
  • Respond to inquiries and send you administrative communications;
  • Obtain your feedback on our offerings;
  • Statistically analyze user behavior and activity;
  • Conduct research and measurement activities;
  • Send you personalized emails or secure electronic messages pertaining to health interests, news, announcements, reminders and opportunities from Bravado Health.

We may combine Personal Information and Non-Personal Information with information from external sources. Personal Information that we obtain from you will be aggregated and de-identified before we use it. Please understand that Non-Personal Information is, by definition, not capable of being used to identify you.

With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

Bravado Health will not disclose any identifying Personal Information about you unless specifically required:

  • To comply with legal requirements, such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order;
  • In response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements;
  • To enable Bravado Health and its vendors and suppliers to perform services or fulfill your orders;
  • In the event of a corporate change in control resulting from, for example, a merger, sale of assets or a bankruptcy by Bravado Health or you;
  • When Bravado Health believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, your safety or the safety of others including your patients, to investigate fraud or to respond to a government request; and/or
  • In special cases, such as in response to a physical threat to us, you or your patients.

How Do We Secure and Retain Your Information?

Bravado Health has put in place technical, physical and administrative safeguards to protect Personal Information that you send through or upload into the Bravado Offerings. Despite efforts to protect Your Information, do not use the Bravado Offerings if you have any concerns about whether Your Information could be accessed by third-parties for circumstances that Bravado Health cannot control, despite Bravado Health’s commercially reasonable best efforts to do so. Examples may include third-party internet service providers, persons with whom you or your employees share your passwords or to whom you have given administrative access, etc.

Market Research

From time to time, Bravado Health may conduct online research surveys through email invitations, pop-up surveys and online focus groups. When participating in a survey, Bravado Health may ask you to enter Personal Information. The Personal Information you submit may be used for research and measurement purposes as described below such as, for example, measuring the effectiveness of content and advertising our offerings or programs. Market research surveys conducted by or on behalf of Bravado will contain a link to this Privacy Policy.

Emails You Send to Bravado Health

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information, content, business information, ideas, concepts or inventions that you send Bravado Health by email. If you want to keep content or business information, ideas, concepts or inventions private or proprietary, please do not send them to Bravado Health.

Cookies and Web Beacons

As is generally the case with most vendors, Bravado Health gathers certain information through your use of the Bravado Offerings. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, Internet service providers (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files that you view or functionality used within the Bravado Offerings. The gathering is made through use of cookies and web beacons.

For purposes of clarity, “Cookies” are small data files that are stored on the hard drive of the computer you use to view a web site. Every computer that accesses the Bravado Offerings is assigned a different Cookie by Bravado. “Web Beacons” are graphic image files embedded in a web page typically used to monitor activity on the page and send back to its home server (which can belong to the host site, a network advertiser or some other third party). It collects information from your browser, such as the IP addresses, the URL of the page on which the Web Beacon is located, the type of browser that is accessing the app, and the ID number of any Cookies on your computer.

Updating Your Personal Information

You may correct, update or review your Personal Information at any time. Notwithstanding, your ability to change or alter previously issued prescriptions is limited.

If you desire to correct, update or review any Personal Information that you have provided to Bravado Health, please follow the instructions contained herein. If you cease use of the Bravado Offerings, you should be aware that Bravado Health will retain records of your use on a confidential basis for regulatory purposes.

How Information Collected About You Is Used

Personal Information collected by Bravado Health about you is used to:

  • Administer your account and usage of the Bravado Offerings;
  • Provide you with access to tools and services;
  • Respond to inquiries that you send us, and to send you administrative communications about the Bravado Offerings;
  • Obtain your feedback about the Bravado Offerings;
  • Statistically analyze trends and user behavior including how frequently areas of the Bravado Offerings are visited, and how the Bravado Offerings are used and accessed;
  • Conduct research and measurement activities, including those described below;
  • Send you personalized emails or secure electronic messages pertaining to your business, needs, interests including, among other things, news, announcements, reminders and opportunities; or
  • Send you relevant offers and informational materials.

With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

Except as described in this Privacy Policy or as specifically agreed by you, Bravado Health will not disclose your Personal Information to any third-party. As stated above, Bravado Health may only release your Personal Information to third-parties as follows:

  • To comply with legal requirements, such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order;
  • In response to lawful requests by public authorities including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements;
  • To enable Bravado Health and its vendors and suppliers to perform services or fulfill your orders;

In addition, Bravado Health may share your Personal Information once it is de-identified and aggregated with third-party consultants that may help expand Bravado Health’s business by assessing user activity. 

In the event of a corporate change in control resulting from, for example, a sale of Bravado Health or a merger with another entity, or in the event of a sale of assets or a bankruptcy, Bravado Health reserves the right to transfer Your Information to the new party in control or the party acquiring such assets. In the event of a change in control, Your Information will continue to be treated under this Privacy Policy unless any changes hereto are made in accordance with the section below that discusses “Changes to This Privacy Policy.”

Disclosures to Bravado Health Contractors

Bravado Health’s contractors sometimes have limited access to Your Information (i.e., user activity) so that they may assist in providing you with our products and services. These contractors include vendors and suppliers that provide Bravado Health with technology, services, data analysis, research, advertising, marketing assistance and/or content. By written agreement, Bravado Health requires that its contractors: 1) protect the privacy of Your Information consistent with this Privacy Policy; and 2) not use or disclose Your Information for any purpose other than providing the limited service or function for Bravado Health.

How Do We Secure and Retain Your Information?

Bravado Health takes reasonable security measures to protect the security of Your Information. Despite Bravado Health's efforts in this regard, there is always some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way around our security systems, or that transmissions of Your Information over the Internet may be intercepted.

The security of Your Information is important to Bravado Health. When you enter Your Information in the Bravado Offerings, Bravado Health encrypts the transmission of that information through SSL connections (Secure Socket Layer) technology.

Bravado Health will retain Your Information for as long as your account is active. At any time, you may remove your Personal Information or instruct Bravado Health to remove it, but you should be aware that it may not be technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information that you have provided to Bravado Health.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Bravado Health reserves the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy or any of its software, tools and services at any time, and any changes will be effective upon being posted unless it advises otherwise. If Bravado Health makes any material changes to this Privacy Policy, it will attempt to notify you by email (sent to the email address specified when you register) and/or by means prior to the change becoming effective.
